Synopsis
This book addresses the aspect of adult learning preferences in Higher Learning Institutions. It has emerged that the adult learner in institutions of higher learning poses some pedagogical challenges as the instructor must learn to accommodate this new type of a learner in the classroom. Theories of adult learning and adult learning literature
have been covered extensively. Understanding learning preferences enhances learning as instructors will facilitate according to the learners’ preferred learning styles. The book exposes the statistical relationships between age, gender and academic discipline of the learner with their learning preferences.
