Muchanga kmuchanga@mmust.ac.ke <p>This book is as a result of painstaking peace building efforts by the Catholic Church in collaboration with other stakeholders. It discusses the contribution of the Catholic Church towards peace building in Kakamega County, Western Kenya. The book is guided by Functionalism Theory and the Structural Peace Theory. The author delves into the challenges and opportunities presented to the peace builder in the process of peace-building. He underscores the fact that peace building initiatives by the Catholic Church require more than just addressing the direct violence that is experienced by warring parties.
