Synopsis

This book embodies the author’s philosophical treatment of various aspects of the HIV/AIDS pademic in critical juxtaposition with various ethical theories. He believes that every right action, whether against HIV/AIDS, or in any other context, can only emerge out of right thinking and authentic inspiration.

Author Biography

Cletus N. Chukwu, Department of Philosophy, Religion and Theology, Moi University, Eldoret, Kenya

Prof Cletus N. Chukwu received his doctorate in India in 1993 on his dissertation Karl Jaspers’ Philosophy of Existence. He has been teaching since 1996 in the Department of Philosophy, Religion and Theology at Moi University, Eldoret, Kenya. His earlier works include Global Peace (Trident, 1995), Introduction to Philosophy in an African Perspective (Zapf Chancery, 2002) and Karl Jaspers’ Philosophy of Existence: Insights For Our Time (Zapf Chancery, 2011) in addition to chapters in other books. Prof Chukwu, a Kenyan, met Dr. Rosebella Cheptoo Chukwu in India. The couple got married and have three children.
